Pooja Pawaskar, born in Mumbai in 1990 and now based in Ottawa, Canada, crafts narratives of self and imperfection through materials like wood and aluminum. Merging architectural knowledge from Mumbai University with a Master’s in Furniture Design from SCAD, USA, she navigates the realms of fine art and functional design with a contemporary organic abstraction approach. Inspired by her grandfather, a craftsman, her work embodies the wabi-sabi philosophy, celebrating life's natural flaws while maintaining a dialogue between sculpture and design.
